System Software Programmer

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Systems Software Programmer to provide ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and support for a mission-critical Oracle-based application and database environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining system stability, resolving defects, implementing database enhancements, and supporting application integrations while ensuring compliance with organizational development standards, policies, and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and bug fixes to ensure the stability, reliability, and operability of the RTS system until its transition or decommissioning.Design, develop, and implement database enhancements to support evolving business processes and operational requirements.Maintain and enhance Oracle database objects, including tables, queries, stored procedures, functions, and related database components.Collaborate with internal technology teams to enhance the interface between the RTS application and the OnBase document management system through Web Services.Analyze business and technical requirements and implement application and database modifications to improve system functionality.Support system integration initiatives and ensure reliable communication between enterprise applications.Perform application testing, validation, deployment, and production support activities.Troubleshoot application, database, and integration issues while implementing effective long-term solutions.Work closely with database administrators, technical staff, business users, and project stakeholders to deliver enhancements and resolve production issues.Ensure all work complies with established organizational policies, development standards, security requirements, and operational procedures.Coordinate development activities under the direction of the database owner or designated project manager.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Oracle 11g Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).Familiarity with organizational development standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Required QualificationsMinimum of five (5) years of experience developing applications using Oracle Web Forms.Minimum of five (5) years of experience programming with TOAD or SQL*Plus.Demonstrated experience with object-oriented programming and software development methodologies.Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting RTS application components.Experience working within a collaborative, multi-developer development environment.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business users.
