Truck Driver and Material Handler
Overview:The Truck Driver and Material Handler will be primarily responsible for the safe operation of a fork truck in a warehouse / manufacturing facility and operating a 20' straight flatbed truck for local pickups and delivery. When not driving fork trucks or the flatbed truck, the operator will be preparing product for final finishing in the Paint area. As part of the manufacturing team, an operator will follow blueprints and work instructions to build unique, high-quality security products to meet customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesTruck Driver and Material Handling:Must have or be willing to obtain a current DOT physical cardMust have or be willing to obtain a fork truck operator cardAbility to strap down and secure loadsSafe operation of a 20' flatbed truckCompletion of shipping documents using a company computer systemProduction Work:Safe operation of hand and power tools to assist in the production processFollow production schedulesReady parts for final or next operationsUse of lifting devices to position product for processing and to move in and out of the work areaMaintain a clean and organized workplace and perform daily cleaning and preventive maintenance duties as neededDevelop Continuous Improvement of processInspect products for defects to ensure quality standards are metOther duties as assignedQuality Control, Inspection, and Safety:Inspect sub-components and assembled products for any defects or non-compliance to prints.
