The Project Superintendent is responsible for all field operations including safety, quality, productivity, planning, scheduling, client relations, team building, risk management, cost estimation, subcontractor management and execution strategy. Travel is required dependent upon assigned project.RequirementsFive or more years of relevant construction industry experience with superintendent dutiesExpert knowledge of various areas of constructionExpert knowledge of basic OSHA Safety regulationsSelf-directed, organized, and motivated to accomplish goalsExcellent teamwork, communication and people skillsProactive and pragmatic thinker, deliberate and decisive in making decisionsSolid time management and excellent organization skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & OutlookResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations at the jobsiteRead and decipher blueprints, specifications and project documentsSet, communicate and enforce goals, timelines and schedules with crewsLead the development of the project schedule with the Project Manager and ensure the team is executing to the planTroubleshoot on-site challenges, resolve conflicts and adapt plans to address unexpected delaysImplement effective cost controls over labor, material, equipment and other expendituresUnderstand the operational details of all subcontracts and maintain subcontractor accountabilityMaintain clear communication with Project Manager and client to provide progress updates and address concernsLead and enforce safety policies, procedures and address non-compliance with employees, subcontractors and vendors as neededCreate and coordinate requests for informationCoordinate change order requestsMaintain As-Built drawings on the jobsiteWork with Project Manager to order materials and schedule deliveriesLead all required pre-installation conferences on the jobsiteHelp facilitate and/or run job progress meetingsCoordinate all building inspections with local and/or state officialsMaintain a positive company image, demonstrate integrity and trustUnderstands and complies with all company policies and safety guidelinesBenefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, flexible spending, 401k plan with match, paid time off and paid holidays.Interested candidates should email resume and cover letter with wage requirements to HR@pci-dbq.comThe above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, power tools and working surfaces of various heights. Loud noise is typical at worksites.
