With deep expertise in both operational leadership and innovation, the team has a proven track record of turning bold ideas into lasting impact.At xHealth, you won’t just advance AI — you’ll help redefine healthcare for millions of seniors in America.Key ResponsibilitiesModel Integration: Integrate and fine-tune pre-trained AI models (including NLP and LLMs) into our platform to extract data from structured and unstructured sources (e.g., PDFs, images, and clinical documents).Data Transformation: Build workflows that convert extracted data into structured formats (e.g., PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery) for use across our clinical data platform.API & Vendor Management: Collaborate with external AI providers (OpenAI, AWS, Google, Anthropic, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of LLMs and other AI services.Prompt Engineering: Design and optimize prompts to drive accurate and contextually relevant data extraction.Agentic Workflows: Design and implement agent-based workflows that leverage AI for autonomous operations.Performance Optimization: Continuously refine integrated models to maximize accuracy, speed, and scalability with large datasets.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists to ensure seamless data flow between extraction pipelines and downstream ML models.QualificationsExperience: 3+ years in AI/ML engineering or integration, with hands-on work in fine-tuning LLMs, NLP models, and API-based data extraction.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field required; Master’s/PhD preferred (or equivalent experience).Technical Expertise:Proficiency in Python (plus Node.js) and modern development practices (GitHub, Jupyter, etc.)Deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)ML/LLM packages (Hugging Face, Weights & Biases, NumPy, NLTK, etc.)OCR technologies for parsing unstructured text into structured dataVector embeddings, RAG architectures, and agentic frameworks for advanced GenAI applicationsData pipeline design for preprocessing, cleaning, and preparing clinical dataEvaluation frameworks to benchmark and validate model performance across diverse use casesPersonal Qualities:Mission-Driven: Passionate about building products that save lives, improve the health of seniors, and repair systemic flaws in healthcare.Ownership Mindset: Thrives on taking initiative and driving projects from idea to production with accountability and pride.Innovative & Curious: Constantly exploring novel approaches to apply AI to real-world healthcare challenges.Resilient & Adaptable: Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment while staying focused on impact.Collaborative: Excels at cross-functional teamwork and translating complex ideas into actionable solutions.Why Join xHealth?This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a high-growth, mission-driven startup.
