Controller
Gulfstream Staffing is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead the accounting operations of a nationwide fertility organization dedicated to helping families grow through compassionate, innovative reproductive care. The Controller will oversee all financial reporting, accounting, compliance, and internal control processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as the organization continues to expand across multiple markets.Location : RemoteKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & ReportingManage all aspects of accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Oversee consolidation of multi-entity and multi-state operations, including joint ventures and partnerships.Support CFO in developing board-level reports and presentations.Budgeting & ForecastingPartner with senior leadership to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts.Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.Implement standardized financial metrics and dashboards for regional and clinic-level performance tracking.Compliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including healthcare and HIPAA-related financial requirements.Maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.Oversee annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.Team LeadershipLead and develop a high-performing accounting team that supports both centralized and regional operations.Establish clear policies, procedures, and training to promote efficiency and accountability across the organization.Systems & Process ImprovementDrive automation and optimization initiatives to scale accounting systems for national growth.Oversee ERP system maintenance and recommend enhancements for greater accuracy and speed in financial reporting.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Multi-entity, healthcare, or fertility/medical practice management experience strongly preferred.In-depth knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.Experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks Enterprise).Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred QualificationsMBA or CPAFamiliarity with registration statements and related regulatory compliance.Experience with SEC reporting and quarterly financial filings .Familiarity with registration statements and related regulatory compliance.Strong understanding of state and local tax requirements.Proven success in new accounting software implementation and process transitions.Background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) , including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.Salary & Benefits:Very Competitive SalaryMedical, Dental, Vision Benefits401(k)PTOHiring immediately!!
