Accounting Manager

This position will be focused exclusively on the equity funds managed by the firm. Key Responsibilities & Duties:Interpret fund agreements to determine the impact on financial reporting and partner capital accounting requirementsPrepare/review journal entries for equity funds managed by the firm in Investran, the firm’s fund accounting softwarePrepare/review hypothetical waterfall calculations to ensure the income allocated between the investors and general partner is accuratePrepare/review fund level financial statements including balance sheet, schedule of investments, income statement, statement of partners’ capital and cash flowsPrepare/review required footnotes to financial statements; draft new footnotes that accurately and concisely describe business arrangementsPrepare/review investor-level capital account statementsPrepare/review capital call and distribution calculations, including waterfall calculationsPrepare/review management fee computationsManage financial statement auditExperience & Qualifications:At least six years of prior experience that demonstrates a progression of responsibility Prior audit experience within the financial services group of a public accounting firm of recognized national standing is required; prior experience with private equity partnership accounting and allocations (including carried interest) is preferredBachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress towards preferred
