Industrial Electrician

Industrial ElectricianGPAC is working with a well-established national food manufacturer in upstate New York that is seeking an Industrial Electrician. They will be responsible for maintaining and repairing complex electrical systems and automated machinery. They will troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), motors, and sensors to minimize downtime, while ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and electrical codes.Responsibilities:Repair all equipment to performance standardsKeep all equipment in good working orderDocument the preventative maintenance schedule and work ordersMaintain the facility in a safe mannerEnsure maintenance areas are clean, sanitary, and well organizedReport to work on time in clean, complete uniform (maintain good personal hygiene)Ensure that all team members do the sameAlways follow safety guidelines and proceduresStrictly adhere to all company policies and proceduresQualifications:Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentGood Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), personal safety, and food safety standardsMinimum of 5 years' experience in a PLC technician role in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturingInstalls, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, including, but not limited to, 110V, 220V, 440V, and low voltage control systemsWork includes, but is not limited to, wiring panel boards, running conduit, pulling wire, etc. Performs similar work on relays, timers, electric eyes, vibrators and controls, electronic controls (motor drives, programmable controllers, process controllers, etc.) and other control equipment, etc. Frequently works from complicated wiring diagramsStrong PLC equipment knowledge, troubleshooting and repair skillsStrong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills of processing and packaging machineryOrder and install parts, read, and understand mechanical parts drawingsIndustrial refrigeration experience preferredWelding, fabrication preferredEffectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtimeComplete all assigned work orders within the time allottedAssist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as neededMaintain and repair all plant equipment with minimal instructionBenefits:Competitive hourly payHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid Time Off (PTO)401KDental insuranceVision insuranceEmployee assistance programLife insuranceWe are currently arranging interviews for this position.
