Final offer will be dependent on qualifications and experience.Anticipated Hiring Pay Scale: $117,665.60 - $121,305.60 AnnuallyDefinition: Under general supervision, provides and/or participates in the provision of direct fundraising, program and partnership development services, including the pursuit of grants and donations to the Housing Authority and its affiliated organizations. Participates and/or provides leadership, as appropriate, in the planning, development, and implementation fundraising and program development within pre-established goals, strategies, and objectives, and independently solicits, cultivates, and stewards donors and/or sponsors. Oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated fundraising projects and/or programs, as assigned.Typical DutiesEither directly or under supervision, plans or coordinates activities to raise funds and increase visibility among internal and external constituencies, including corporate and foundation contacts, the business community, and others, event planning, charitable contribution pickup and delivery of non-monetary gifts.Identifies, cultivates, and stewards small to intermediate level individual and corporate donor and/or sponsorship prospects; solicits gifts and/or sponsorships in accordance with established giving plans, policies, and parametersPlans and coordinates a variety of fundraising programs, events, and other activities designed to increase success in fundraising and partnership development for the Housing Authority and the agency's affiliated organizations.Reviews prospect research and develops prospecting strategies, matching prospects to Housing Authority programs.Collaborates with Housing Authority departments, programs, projects, local and state agencies, volunteers, and/or community organizations to develop effective projects and policies.Writes complex documents such as grant applications, case statements, major gift proposals, technical reports, press releases, board reports, annual reports and communication materials.Assists in short- and long-range strategic planning activities to create and implement fund raising goals and objectives.Provides day-to-day technical and/or professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise.Supervises and coordinates the work of staff employees and volunteers in day-to-day functional activities, as appropriate.Maintains database files and records including those used to track contributions, project time and maintain accurate mailing lists.Develops and manages project budgets.Represent the Housing Authority at business and community meetings; and/or give presentations.Define project tasks, resource requirements to develop full scale project plans and schedule project timelines.Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.Project evaluations and assessment of results.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesKnowledge of the function and scope of assigned special programs; principles, practices, procedures and methods of office management and complex program management; principles and practices of budget preparation and control; Housing Authority organization, operation, policies and objectives; research techniques; oral and written communication skills; applicable sections of federal, state and local laws and codes; technical aspects of field of specialty. Working knowledge of a variety of constituency and/or fund development methods; knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.Ability to develop, manage and implement an effective assigned program; prepare clear, concise, logical oral and written complex reports; make prompt and accurate decisions; deal tactfully and effectively with employees, representatives of other governmental bodies and the public; work independently with little direction; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; lead, train, and supervise staff and volunteers effectively, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments; meet schedules and time lines; research data and prepare reports; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; work confidentially with discretion; present ideas and concepts persuasively; interpret, apply and explain laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures; analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.Record maintenance skills; programs and event planning and implantation skills; skill in the use of design software as well as standard office software applications.Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized college with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with major study in public or business administration or closely related field. Master’s degree is highly desirable.
