Day Packer The primary responsibility for the Day Packer role is to efficiently pick and pack orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.Key Responsibilities:Efficiently assemble and pack assigned orders in a timely manner.Ensure packed items are adequately secured, labeled, and staged for driver pick-up and delivery.Maintain a high level of accuracy when packing orders, ensuring precision in every detail.Utilize packing materials efficiently and responsibly to minimize waste and reduce costs.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.As needed, assist in inventory counts, restocking shelves, and organizing products within the warehouse.Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to promote a secure working environment.Please note that the company retains the right to modify or add duties as required at any time.Job Qualifications:Educational Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.Relevant Experience: Preferred, though not mandatory, prior experience in a picker/packer settingAdaptability with Technology: Proficiency or willingness to learn and operate packer systems using tablets.Skills:Coordination: Collaborating effectively by adjusting actions in response to others' tasks and requirements.Speed and Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to work rapidly and proficiently, maintaining quality standards.Time Management: Proficient in effectively managing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and organizational goals.Active Listening: Actively engages in attentive listening, comprehending others' viewpoints, asking relevant questions, and refraining from interrupting at inappropriate times.Communication: Articulating and exchanging information with clarity to ensure effective understanding among team members.Judgment and Decision Making: Evaluating the potential outcomes and trade-offs of various actions to make sound and effective decisions.Mathematical Proficiency: Possesses strong numerical skills, including counting, fractions, arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, etc.), and numerical problem-solving abilities.Computer and Tablet Proficiency: Comfortable and adept in utilizing electronic tools such as computers and tablets to perform job-related tasks efficiently.Organizational Proficiency: Demonstrated strong organizational skills and an acute attention to detail, essential for maintaining an organized warehouse environment.Physical Demands:Pushing/Pulling Strength: Continuously exerting force while pushing and pulling objects weighing 50lbs. +Lifting Capacity: Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.Mobility and Endurance: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, typically 8 hours or more.Temperature Tolerance: Endurance of cool to freezing temperatures, as the role primarily operates within coolers and freezers.Comfort with Heights: Comfort and willingness to work at heights, utilizing ladders and lifts as required by the position.
