CMM Programmer (Contract)Location: On-siteDuration: 12-month contract with potential extensionWe are seeking a CMM Programmer to support dimensional inspection and metrology activities for precision manufactured components. This role will focus specifically on CMM programming and inspection planning, not machine operation or maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Calypso software, advanced GD&T interpretation, and the ability to perform inspections using a variety of metrology hand tools.This is a fully on-site role supporting engineering and quality teams in a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain CMM inspection programs using CalypsoInterpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements to build inspection routinesPerform dimensional inspections and analyze measurement resultsUtilize metrology hand tools to verify part dimensions and support inspection activitiesGenerate inspection reports and communicate results to engineering and quality teamsSupport first article inspections (FAI) and ongoing production inspection needsCollaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to troubleshoot dimensional issuesEnsure inspection programs align with internal quality standards and documentation requirementsQualifications3–5 years of experience in CMM programming in a manufacturing environmentHands-on experience programming using Calypso softwareStrong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawingsIntermediate to advanced experience using inspection hand tools, such as:MicrometersCalipersHeight gaugesBore gaugesIndicatorsExperience performing dimensional inspections of precision componentsStrong attention to detail and ability to work closely with engineering and quality teamsAdditional DetailsFully on-site role12-month contract with possibility for extensionOpportunity to work in a high-precision manufacturing environment
