This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape core user experiences across both patient and clinician-facing products.You will be at the center of complex, meaningful problem spaces, from empowering patients to engage in their care, to building intuitive workflows for clinicians, to designing growth-driven pathways that increase access to treatment. We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, works quickly but with exceptional attention to craft, and brings a mix of systems thinking, creativity, and rigorous user focus.You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Operations, and Growth partners to define product direction, conduct user research, ship high-quality features, and help establish Boulder’s design culture and processes from the ground up.What you'll do:Lead end-to-end design for patient, clinical, and growth-focused initiatives, from discovery and research to prototyping, visual design, and productionConduct qualitative and quantitative research to deeply understand the needs of patients, clinicians, and care teamsTranslate insights into elegant, data-driven design solutions that balance speed, safety, usability, and business impactPartner with Product to run experiments and arrive at solutions that drive real impactDevelop and maintain design systems that support consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the productBring strong product thinking - using research, data, and business context to shape product roadmapWork quickly and iteratively, raising the bar on design quality while staying pragmatic in a fast-moving environmentContribute to shaping and scaling the design practice at Boulder, including processes, rituals, and team normsWhat you bring:5-8 years of product design experience, including work in consumer experiencesA strong portfolio demonstrating polished visual craft, thoughtful interaction design, and systems thinkingExperience designing for complex workflows, service experiences, or multi-sided platformsHands-on user research skills: planning, running, and synthesizing qualitative and/or quantitative studiesStrong visual design sensibilities and the ability to elevate product aestheticsData-informed problem solving — using metrics, experiments, and insights to guide decisionsA great collaborator who communicates clearly and works well with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Operations partnersComfortable working quickly without sacrificing quality; able to be both scrappy and polishedNice to have but not requiredExperience in the digital health spaceExperience on a small design team, building and growing the design function from the ground upWork environmentThis is a fully remote role but we are currently only hiring candidates located in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, KY, MA, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, or WV. Applicants must reside and work in one of those states to be considered.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Office Requirements: Boulder teammates working with sensitive information must have a dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to maintain a secure, distraction-free environment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standardsBoulder Care employees are free to use our river-front HQ located in Portland, OR whenever they would likeExpected hours of workThis is a full-time remote position expected to work 40 hours between Monday-Friday during standard business hours.CompensationThe starting pay range for this position is $145,000 - $185,000; base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
