Senior Credit Administrator
Position Summary:The Senior Credit Administrator strengthens credit risk discipline across the Commercial and SBA portfolios. This role supports the CCO through independent loan reviews, standardization of underwriting practices, and training for lenders and analysts. The ideal candidate has extensive Commercial and SBA underwriting experience and strong judgment in credit risk assessment.Key Responsibilities:Conduct independent loan reviews to evaluate underwriting quality, policy/SOP compliance, documentation completeness, and overall credit risk.Identify weaknesses or gaps and recommend remediation plans.Perform pre‑funding and post‑closing quality checks.Provide coaching for loan officers and analysts, enhancing credit write‑ups, spreads, cash flow analysis, and collateral evaluations.Standardize underwriting templates and credit memo formats.Develop and deliver training related to credit policy, risk ratings, covenant structures, exception management, and SBA updates.Support policy refinement, portfolio monitoring, risk ratings, watchlist, and exception reporting.Contribute to Loan Committee and Board reporting as needed. Qualifications:8+ years in Commercial Lending/Credit, including 3–5 years SBA experience.Strong financial statement analysis, risk rating, covenant monitoring, and credit memo preparation skills.Knowledge of SBA SOP 50 10 and related requirements.Strong communication and coaching abilities.Proficiency in Excel and credit spreading tools. Preferred Qualifications:Community bank experience; Houston/Texas market familiarity a plus.Experience with Loan Committee/Board reporting.Exposure to stress testing and portfolio analytics.Bachelor’s degree in finance-related field; advanced credentials preferred.
