Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerLocation: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)Experience: 7+ years requiredRole OverviewWe are looking for a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer to support a new project initiative with One of our client. This is a mid-to-senior level role focused on low-level embedded software development, system programming, and testing for next-generation embedded platforms.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, Linux, bootloaders, and embedded systems development, with the ability to independently design, develop, test, and debug software in a fast-paced engineering environment. This position is highly coding-intensive, with approximately 80–90% of the work focused on software development.Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software using C and C++.• Develop low-level software components, boot processes, and system initialization modules.• Work extensively within Linux-based embedded environments.• Support embedded system bring-up, debugging, and system-level integration.• Troubleshoot software defects and optimize system performance.• Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware teams during development and integration.• Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and software validation activities.• Take ownership of assigned development tasks while working independently in a fast-paced environment.• Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of next-generation embedded platforms.Preferred Qualifications• 5–8+ years of hands-on Embedded Software Development experience.• Strong programming skills in C and C++.• Solid experience working with Linux operating systems.• Experience with Bootloaders, Boot Process, and Low-Level System Initialization.• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture.• Experience with software debugging, testing, and performance optimization.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Nice to Have• Automotive embedded software development experience.• Experience with embedded platforms from companies such as Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, NXP, Visteon, or similar semiconductor/embedded organizations.• Experience working with networking or embedded hardware companies such as Cisco, Arista, or Juniper.• Familiarity with embedded hardware bring-up and system-level debugging.
