With over 300 employees, United Electric is headquartered in New Castle, Delaware with locations throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia and New York.Position SummaryResponsible for providing day-to-day leadership and technical expertise for the Custom Products Group (CPG) assembly team. Acts as a working supervisor and primary support to the CPG Operations Manager. Oversee electrical assembly activities, supports production scheduling, ensures quality and safety compliance, and assists with the development and performance of department staff. Collaborates with team members and cross-functional partners to provide exceptional customer service and meet delivery commitments.Position Responsibilities:Provide daily oversight and direction to Assembler Technician team members.Serve as the lead technical resource for electrical assembly, wiring, panel builds, and troubleshooting.Perform advanced electrical assembly, testing, and quality assurance as needed to support production flow.Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper construction and compliance.Assist with organizing labor, prioritizing work, and keeping builds and deliveries on schedule.Support complex and non-standard builds; determine proper construction methods and materials.Monitor work quality and productivity; correct issues and provide coaching as needed.Assist with training, mentoring, and ongoing skill development of assembly technicians.Coordinate with the Operations Manager on daily production planning, process improvements, and issue escalation.Support inventory control, cycle counts, and resolution of discrepancies.Maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient assembly area at all times.Work closely with the warehouse and other departments to ensure materials availability and smooth workflow.Assist with meeting requirements to maintain relevant UL listings for the group and its products.Must work extended hours to meet delivery needs as required.Perform other duties as obvious or assigned.This is a Safety Sensitive PositionMay be required to operate powered industrial trucks.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk.
