It’s a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future – including your own.We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Talent Development Specialist to join our Talent Development team in Newport Beach, CA.As a Senior Talent Development Specialist you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by facilitating our learning portfolio, working with facilitation partners, and delivering our flagship training programs to employees and leaders across the globe, helping Pacific Life achieve its talent development goals, and prepare our workforce for the future. This role is critical to building capability and improving performance within our organization. You will fill a new role that sits on the People Experience (PX) team within Talent Management, reporting directly to the head of Talent Development. You will work on the TD team alongside other talent development peers and the wider Talent Management team, including Talent Enablement and Organizational Development & Change Management.How You’ll Help Us Move ForwardSupport the assessment of development needs across PX and the business, partnering with the Talent Development team to provide SME guidance on learning and development strategy and architect solutions delivered both internally and through vendor partnersDesign and facilitate impactful and innovative blended learning solutions that support talent development strategies and meet business needs for leaders and employeesFacilitate in-person and virtual instructor-led training as part of enterprise-wide learning initiatives, working with contract resources as neededProvide subject-matter expertise on RFP proposals to ensure the selection and onboarding of high-quality learning design and delivery vendors, and partner with those vendors to continuously improve content and delivery based on employee and leadership feedbackMaintain enterprise facilitation standards across internal teams and vendors, ensuring a world-class learning experience, while implementing Train-the-Trainer for all key programs and measuring impact to inform continuous improvementPartner to deliver exceptional learning experiences, working with program management and COE colleagues to executePartner across talent management to identify and deliver on synergies between talent development offerings and other initiatives (i.e. OD/change management, performance and talent reviews, employee experience & belonging)The Experience You BringBachelor’s degree in education, organizational development/HR/psychology, communications, or related field8 years of delivery experience, including Leadership Development training at senior levelsStrong communication, facilitation, and group engagement skillsAbility to present to global, diverse audiencesFamiliarity with design and delivery of development programs with strong knowledge of corporate learning strategies and instructional designCan work across the business to provide SME input to learning strategiesWhat Makes You Stand OutYou’re a strong collaborator, able to work with learners, key stakeholders, your team and PX leadershipYour strong ability and experience to coach and develop to build high performanceYou have an enterprise mindsetYou care about creating a learning environment where people can thriveWorking ConditionsTravel requirements – global travel will be requiredBase Pay RangeThe base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
