Position Overview
In this role, you will help ensure a smooth and supportive experience for patients enrolled in a home-based rehabilitation program. You will manage scheduling logistics, assist with onboarding and education, coordinate with clinical teams, and support virtual session delivery.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting and enjoys working directly with patients while keeping operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage patient appointment scheduling, including changes and rescheduling as needed
Ensure proper coverage when clinical team members are out or schedules shift
Coordinate closely with rehabilitation specialists, clinical leads, dieticians, nurse practitioners, and physicians
Assist with patient onboarding and provide guidance on program expectations and requirements
Help patients prepare for initial sessions, including instruction on monitoring devices such as EKG sensors, pulse oximeters, and blood pressure cuffs
Serve as a first point of contact for technical issues during virtual sessions and collaborate with IT support when needed
Maintain accurate patient records within EMR systems
Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and session flow
Assist with contingency planning for staffing or technical disruptions
Support program improvement initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
2+ years of scheduling or coordination experience in a healthcare or clinical environment
5+ years of Medical Assistant experience or similar clinical support background
Cardiology or cardiac rehab experience preferred
Experience working with Electronic Medical Record systems
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Patient-focused mindset with excellent customer service abilities
Ability to work onsite in Clearwater, FL
Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods in a moderate-noise environment
Reliable attendance and ability to work in a structured, fast-paced setting
