Position Title: AccountantLocation: Alpharetta, GeorgiaClearance Requirements: NonePay Rate: $48.00/hourPosition DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant for a 3-month contract based in Alpharetta, GA. This role plays a vital part in the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. You will be responsible for recording and reconciling cash and balance sheet accounts, supporting consolidations, and collaborating with external auditors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency with US GAAP and IFRS standards. This onsite position offers the opportunity to work closely with finance teams and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the monthly close process for various subsidiaries, including journal entries and reconciliations.Prepare and review account reconciliations for cash, contingencies, intercompany, and income taxes.Create manual journal entries to support the financial close, ensuring accuracy and compliance with schedules.Assist in consolidations and perform variance analysis.Manage cash activities, including daily reconciliations, payroll, and debt payments.Work with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits, maintaining control documentation.Ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.Provide ad hoc reporting and process improvement suggestions.Top Requirements3+ years of accounting experience, including both public and corporate rolesHighly detail-oriented with strong analytical skillsProficient in US GAAP and IFRS accounting standardsAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
