Cloud Application Developer (Node.js/Python)

Job Title: Node.js/Python Cloud EngineerLocation: Dallas, TX or New JerseyDuration: 3+ Months (Contract)About the Role:We are looking for a skilled Cloud Application Developer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the development of high-performance, scalable cloud applications. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in Node.js or Python, have experience designing scalable systems, and demonstrate expertise in cloud-native technologies.Key Responsibilities:Develop Cloud-Based Applications: Design and build robust cloud applications using Node.js or Python, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.API Management: Implement and manage API gateways to control traffic, enforce security policies, and provide a consistent interface for clients.Resilience & Performance: Develop strategies for throttling, failure handling, and retries to optimize application resilience and performance under load.Serverless Architecture: Utilize serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) to create event-driven, scalable, and cost-effective applications.Cache Optimization: Implement semantic caching strategies (e.g., Redis, Memcached) to reduce latency and enhance application performance.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to enhance application development practices.Qualifications:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Professional Experience:3+ years of experience developing cloud-based applications using Node.js or Python.Expertise with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including their native services.Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems.Strong proficiency in RESTful API design and development.Familiarity with caching mechanisms and their application in cloud environments.Experience with CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.Skills:Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with serverless computing frameworks and technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems.Experience developing microservices and working with microservices architecture.
