Process Technician-2nd & 3rd Shift

General Description/Functions: The process technician position is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the operation of the injection molding machines. Responsibilities will include set-up, process control and troubleshooting of the equipment and injection molds. Position will be responsible for ensuring the processes are meeting existing quality standards. Tasks/Activities: 1) Communicate with supervisors and leads on molding machine schedules based on production needs. 2) Maintain press and mold conditions to ensure the production of quality parts. 3) Setup and run process to according to ETS (Engineering Technical Standards) and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards. 4) Maintain safe and clean working environment as it pertains to 5S standard 5) Respond to process issues to prevent scrap. 6) Complete required TPM assignments. 7) Adhere to all shutdown and startup procedures. 8) Process granulator equipment to recycle scrap parts. 8) Respond to additional work assignments when requested and perform all essential functions in a timely manner under typical production schedules. Skills and Special Requirements: 1. A working knowledge of hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic systems (REQUIRED.) 2. Ability to perform minor maintenance and changeover tasks on injection molds and process equipment (PREFERRED.) 3. Preferred but not required knowledge of Polypropylene, ABS, PPC, Acrylic, and Polycarbonate materials (PREFERRED.) 4. Experience in troubleshooting injection molding machines and parameter knowledge (PREFERRED.) 5. Experience to determine extent of correctable parameters and working knowledge of Tool & Mold function in relation to production (PREFERRED.) 6. Knowledge with bridge crane's functions, chillers, and robotic equipment (PREFERRED.) 7. Knowledge of resin granulators, dryers, and material vacuum loading systems (PREFERRED.) 8. Must be willing to maintain a safe and clean work environment according to 5S standards (REQUIRED.) 9. Must possess written communication skills which includes recording and verification of process conditions (REQUIRED.) 10. Possess mathematical skills (REQUIRED.) 11. Have effective communication and active listening skills in individual and group situations (REQUIRED.) 12. Possess the ability to provide clear instructions or information, and be receptive to innovative ideas, suggestions, or special assignments (REQUIRED.) 13. Possess adaptability to change priorities to meet changing production demands, and ability to adjust quickly to new responsibilities and tasks (REQUIRED.) 14. Emphasize and demonstrate high work standards to others in the areas of productivity, quality, safety, through teamwork and attendance (REQUIRED.) 15. Facilitate the development of a small technical team by providing training, guidance, and feedback to help them (REQUIRED.) 16. Support departmental activities to achieve KPI targets (REQUIRED.) 17. Ability to work with minimal supervision and exhibit good organizational skills (REQUIRED.) 18. Maintain forklift certification (REQUIRED.) 19. Must be able to work in close and confined spaces as well as high locations (REQUIRED.) 20. Ability to utilize the maintenance and tooling work order system (REQUIRED.)
