We are building a next-generation logistics OS that will power international trade for the next decade.We currently operate in Japan and Vietnam, handling end-to-end ocean freight for fast-growing companies. In 2026, we officially launched our U.S. operations — our most important strategic market — and have already opened our U.S. office.From here, we will expand into China, ASEAN, and Europe.Role: Business Development Manager (Japanese-speaking)We are hiring a founding sales member in the U.S. (Japanese-speaking) to drive our expansion in the American market.This is not a typical sales role — you will play a critical role in building our U.S. business from zero.You will be responsible for new customer acquisition, developing our go-to-market strategy, and helping define how Portrich scales globally.Mission・Drive new customer acquisition in the U.S. market・Focus on Japanese companies (including Japanese-affiliated companies in the U.S.)・Build and refine our early-stage sales playbook・Ensure successful onboarding of early customersKey ResponsibilitiesNew Business Acquisition・Identify and acquire new customers through cold outreach, referrals, networking, and industry events・Own the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → pitch → pricing → negotiation → closing・Focus on Japanese and Japan-related clients in the U.S.Go-to-Market Execution・Work closely with the CEO and VPoSales to localize and execute U.S. GTM strategies・Define ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), messaging, and sales playbooks・Continuously improve sales processesCustomer Onboarding & Early Success・Ensure smooth onboarding for new clients・Collaborate with Operations to deliver high-quality service・Proactively solve cross-functional issuesProduct Feedback Loop・Provide structured feedback to Product & Engineering teams・Help shape our TMS / OMS / WMS roadmapPipeline Management・Maintain accurate CRM data・Track KPIs and forecast revenue・Improve conversion rates across the funnelRequirements (Must-have)・3+ years of B2B sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain・Proven track record in new customer acquisition・Solid understanding of freight operations (FCL required, LCL/Air is a plus)・Native-level Japanese・Business-level English (able to operate in a professional environment)・Work authorization in the U.S. (or ability to obtain one)Nice-to-Have・Bilingual (Japanese & English)・Experience with logistics software (TMS, OMS, WMS)・Experience working in international environmentsWhy Join Portrich・Build the U.S. business from day one・Work directly with the CEO and VPoSales・High impact — your deals shape the company trajectory・Fast career growth with global exposure・Work across Japan, Vietnam, and the U.S.
