The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely movement of materials and products. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse teams, drives productivity, maintains inventory accuracy, and upholds safety and quality standards. The supervisor coordinates shipping, receiving, and material handling activities while identifying process improvements that enhance workflow and support organizational goals.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesPerformance ManagementCoach, train, and mentor team members to build skills, improve performance, and support long-term professional growth.Ensure full adherence to safety protocols and company policies, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.Conduct performance evaluations, deliver constructive feedback, and guide employees through development plans and improvement initiatives.Provide clear, consistent communication regarding daily tasks, performance expectations, and company initiatives to ensure alignment and accountability.Maintain adherence to company standards for productivity, accuracy, safety, and quality. Audit processes regularly to ensure KPI targets are met.Warehouse OperationsSupervise daily activities across shipping, receiving, and material handling to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and workflow continuity.Verify that customer orders are shipped on schedule and that incoming products are properly inspected, documented, and stored.Monitor inventory processes, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely movement of materials to support production and distribution needs.Participate in safety initiatives, enforce safety standards, and uphold company policies to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.Process Improvement & Problem-SolvingIdentify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements using Lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity.Analyze invoices, shipping documents, and received materials to detect errors, discrepancies, and compliance issues.Troubleshoot logistical challenges, coordinate cross-functional solutions, and ensure smooth material flow across operations.Capacity & Budget PlanningAssist in managing departmental budgets by tracking expenditures, analyzing variances, and providing informed financial input to leadership.Evaluate workload demands and recommend solutions for temporary staffing, overtime allocation, or resource adjustments to maintain operational efficiency.Monitor shipping expenses, analyze carrier performance, and optimize freight carrier selection to reduce costs while maintaining service quality.Safety InitiativesConduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Participate in safety committee meetings and inspections.Train employees on safety programs and conduct accident investigations.Talent Acquisition And OnboardingInterview, hire, and onboard new associates to build a capable, high-performing warehouse team.Provide hands-on training to ensure employees meet quality standards, follow best practices, and maintain efficiency in all warehouse operations.Inventory ManagementEnsure all work-in-process (WIP) transactions and documentation are completed accurately to maintain production flow and data integrity.Perform routine cycle count audits, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate inventory variances to support accurate inventory records.Skills And AbilitiesStrong PC capabilities with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Strong problem-solving abilities, including conducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for clear, professional interaction across all levels.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining productivity with minimal supervision.Demonstrated accountability in decision-making with a consistent focus on process improvement and operational excellence.Education And ExperienceAssociate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.Familiarity with inventory control processes, including accuracy, reconciliation, and material flow.Physical And Work EnvironmentWork is performed in both office and warehouse settings, requiring adaptability to varied conditions.Ability to handle frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and attention to detail.Must wear safety shoes, eye protection, and other required personal protective equipment when working in warehouse areas.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 6+ hours as needed to support operational demands.SummaryWe offer benefits of medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, as well as other voluntary insurance options.EOE
