With a diverse organization, employees bring a wide range of experience and expertise to excel in the current energy landscape while preparing for the future.Job SummaryThe Power Systems Engineer provides technical analysis and engineering support for integrating large, flexible electrical loads into a regional power grid. This role focuses on evaluating interconnection studies, assessing system reliability impacts, and collaborating with transmission providers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The position also involves developing tools, procedures, and insights to support reliable system operations and decision-making.Job DescriptionReview and evaluate large load interconnection studies to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable reliability standards.Perform power flow and related analyses to assess the impact of large load integration on system reliability and operations.Analyze load behavior and its effects on real-time operations and energy markets.Communicate technical requirements and findings to transmission providers and other stakeholders.Develop, enhance, and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reports to improve visibility into system performance and large load activity.Support the development and revision of technical procedures, standards, and operational guidelines.Participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure proper integration of large loads into system models and processes.Provide technical presentations, participate in stakeholder meetings, and contribute to industry discussions.Serve as a technical resource on large load-related topics and support internal training efforts.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in strategic planning efforts.Skills Required0-5+ years of relevant experience depending on level placementExperience with power system analysis and interconnection studies preferredExperience performing or evaluating power flow studies in transmission or distribution systems preferredFamiliarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and data/analysis platforms (e.g., Seeq, PI, Jira) is a plusExperience with coding or developing analytical/visualization tools is a plusAbility to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams and technical drawingsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and presentation abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.Additional requirementsHybrid with minimum of 2 times a week onsitePay rate$47- $57 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
