Title: Manager, Financial Planning & AnalysisLocation: Abbott Park, Illinois (100% On-Site)Duration: 2.5 Month (Till end of September)Shift: 8:30AM - 5PMJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and internal control activities for an Abbott location. The ideal candidate will play a key role in month-end variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial decision support while partnering closely with business stakeholders and laboratory management.This role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activitiesPerform variance analysis by comparing actual results against forecasts and budgetsSupport month-end close and financial reporting processesPartner with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and decision supportDevelop and maintain accounting and financial internal controlsPrepare consolidated financial analysis and ad hoc reports for managementAssist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activitiesUtilize Excel and system-based tools/queries for data extraction and analysisEnsure financial processes and reporting procedures are efficient and effectiveRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting5+ years of experience in:Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Forecasting & budgetingVariance reporting and financial analysisManagement accounting and/or auditStrong experience with:Actual vs Forecast reportingMonth-end financial analysisBusiness partneringAdvanced Excel skills requiredExperience working with system-based query tools (SQL/S-based tools preferred; teachable)Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with the ability to interact across multiple levels and functionsPreferred QualificationsExperience in finance or accounting within a high-volume clinical service laboratory environment is preferred, but not mandatoryConsultants Eligible Benefits Upon Waiting PeriodMedical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanVision PlanHealth Savings Account (for High Deductible Health Plans)Flexible Spending Accounts (Health, Limited Purpose, Dependent Care, Commuter Parking and Commuter Transit)Supplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability (coverage varies by state)Long Term DisabilityCritical Illness, Hospital coverage, Accident InsuranceMetLife Legal, MetLife ID Fraud, and MetLife Pet Insurance401(k)Abbott is a global healthcare leader that helps people live more fully at all stages of life.
