Working as a key member of the Enterprise Architecture team, the incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive business solution architecture and providing critical technical direction and guidance across the organization.The Business Solution Architect must possess telecommunications generalist experience, with a deep understanding of Operations Support Systems (OSS)—covering inventory management, service provisioning, fault management, and performance monitoring—as well as Business Support Systems (BSS), including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Product/Catalogue Information Management, Sales Order Management, Customer Support Management, and Technical Support Management.Operating within an agile methodology, the architect will be engaged on squads, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of environments with various upstream and downstream systems. This role requires a focus on reliability, agility, and the creation of viable solutions that map technology capabilities to business requirements in alignment with the End-to-End Enterprise Architecture Strategy.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDocument and maintain comprehensive solution-level views that illustrate how current business capabilities and functional requirements are effectively supported through the integration of people, optimized processes, and strategic technology assets.Provide expert advisory and guidance to business units and key stakeholders regarding emerging and existing technology capabilities, ensuring all business requirements are accurately mapped in strict alignment with the End-to-End Enterprise Architecture Strategy.Establish and define strategic technical targets for core business capabilities and functionality, fostering an environment of reliability and agility within the organizational framework.Actively participate in the architectural design and creation of multi-year technical roadmaps intended to achieve the defined strategic technical targets.Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and analysts to understand, influence, and translate critical business requirements into robust, scalable solution designs.Contribute deep technical expertise to product evaluations, lead integration specification reviews, and facilitate informed solution selection processes.Work synergistically with business systems analysts and a diverse group of architects—including security, technical, network, and data specialists—to develop project solutions that adhere to the Enterprise Wide Strategic Technical Vision.Conduct rigorous project reviews to ensure compliance with established architecture standards, long-term roadmaps, approved patterns, and governance guidelines prior to final solution approval.Maintain a continuous research focus on industry trends and vendor developments, leveraging recent technological achievements to identify and enable new business opportunities.Uphold individual and collective safety standards by taking all necessary measures to ensure personal health and safety, as well as that of co-workers and the general public, while strictly adhering to all Company Health & Safety policies and instructions.Demonstrate constant attentiveness and responsiveness to the needs of both internal and external customers to support Cogeco&apos's commitment to excellence, ensuring that technical solutions professionally and timely resolve issues while meeting customer expectations.Minimum QualificationsACADEMIC EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree or combination of relevant education and experience.Professional Experience10+ years’ experience in IT Architecture, Solution Architecture, Business Architecture or similar experience required5+ years’ experience in Telecommunications required, ideally both wireline and wirelessExtensive experience with API development and integration across Business Systems – CRM, OSS, BSS, Finance, Product Catalogue and 3rd party integrations (payment, provisioning, fulfillment, inventory, etc)Requires extensive telecommunications Front End, Billing and CRM experienceExperience with ServiceNow capabilitieseCommerce experience, specifically with regards to Catalogue Management, Buy-Flow, Self-Serve and supporting technologiesOmni-channel capabilities - Web and Call Centre applications & architecture patternsProven track record in driving architectural support for high-priority transformation and digital initiatives, including Digital and Brand services, mobile service evolution (e.g., Welo/oxio mobility), and Call Center technology replacementsExperience in AI modernization demands, including supporting AI squads in the integration of AI models into applications and existing enterprise systems for front-line enablement and high-quality self-serveExperience managing complex integrations between front-end tools and OSS/BSS platforms to optimize performance and control cloud costsRequired SkillsAbility to drive solutions which align with the end-to-end Enterprise Strategic ArchitectureAbility to drive a strategic and technological planning process, including establishing long-term technical targets for business capabilities and creating comprehensive technical roadmapsAbility to interpret complex business needs into reliable, agile, and viable solutions, effectively mapping technology capabilities to business requirementsAbility to understand and apply financial assessments to architecture solutions to ensure they are cost-effective and provide optimal organizational valueAbility to formulate and/or understand ‘change requests’ against vendor solutions, challenge vendor estimates, and propose alternative solutions in the best interest of CogecoPossess thorough knowledge of architecture concepts (e.g., service-oriented architectures) and leading practices in telecommunications, specifically regarding AI evolutionExtensive cloud architecture experience, including familiarity with EA-native AI governance solutions and automated tracking of AI systemsFamiliarity with TMForum frameworks and exposure to standard industry practices; TOGAF® certification is considered a significant assetYou’ll Benefit FromFlexibility: Yes, we think that what you do matters. For candidates whose primary place of work will be in Cleveland, Ohio, the expected salary range for this position is $116 900 – $175 300.This range represents the annual salary or hourly wage that Breezeline expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting.
