Electrical Maintenance Technician

Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a safety-oriented Sr. Electrical Maintenance Technician. As a Sr. Electrical Maintenance Technician at Meyer Utility Structures, you will specialize in electrical maintenance and troubleshoot equipment and electrical systems within our plant.Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications. With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today's transmission industry standards and specifications.What You'll Do:Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to electrical systems/components, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentPerform high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays)Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipmentMake electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on computer-controlled equipmentTroubleshoot electronically controlled production equipmentFabricate and install new equipment and coordinate with contractors as neededMaintain machinery according to Preventative Maintenance ProgramMaintain documentation of maintenance services in maintenance management softwareMaintain a critical spare parts inventoryPerform regular inspections on cranes and lifting equipmentFollow all safety rules and practicesPerform other duties as assigned What You'll Need:Minimum of 3 years of related electrical maintenance (3 Phase 480V and below) electrical experience (≤ 600AMP)Ability to understand principles of mechanical and electrical controls and understand general mechanical and electrical schematicsAbility to trouble shoot and test all electrical applicationsExperience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferredCrane, Welding, VFD, and PLC experience is highly preferredARC Flash training/knowledge is highly preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams Compensation and Benefits:Meyer Utility Structures is proud to offer competitive benefits and programs to help you and your family meet your healthcare and retirement planning needs.
