Role Description This is an on-site full-time Associate position based in Columbia, SC. The Associate will provide legal counsel and representation to the firm's diverse client base, including handling legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings. Key responsibilities also include collaborating with fellow attorneys, offering preventative legal advice to mitigate risks, and maintaining communication with clients to best serve their interests and objectives. Additional tasks may involve assisting in the development of legal strategies to support government, educational, and business-related operations. Qualifications Proficiency in Legal Research, Legal Writing, and preparing legal documentationExperience in litigation, courtroom representation, and administrative hearingsStrong Analytical and Communication Skills, with an emphasis on advocacy and client interactionComprehensive knowledge of government, education law, employment law, or corporate law is highly desirableLicensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina or qualified to obtain licensureDemonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues independentlyCommitment to providing cost-efficient and client-focused legal services
