Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues Develop and implement effective treatment plans Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and timely medical records Educate patients and families on gastrointestinal health Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology Requirements Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Gastroenterology Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred Prior experience in a clinical setting as a gastroenterologist Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethics Valid medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7 on/7 off Setting: Inpatient Patient Volume: 10-20 per day, 10 admissions per night Duties: Bread & butter inpatient GI, ED call, consultations, and procedures Required Procedures: ERCP and bread & butter endo Support Staff: 3 inpatient APPs EMR: Epic Must be board-certified or board-eligible Paid travel & expenses #J-18808-Ljbffr
