Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our General Contracting team at U.S. Development. This is an entry-level opportunity for an organized, motivated individual looking to build a career in the construction industry. No prior construction experience is required. Candidates with an engineering, construction management, or other technical background are encouraged to apply.As a growing company, we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of their work, operating independently, and learning quickly in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and senior leadership, gaining direct exposure to multiple aspects of project management and construction operations. As the company continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on increased responsibility and advance within the organization.Key Responsibilities:Assist with bid solicitations, scope development, and bid levelingAssist with material and subcontractor procurementLearn and manage project workflows within ProcoreTrack RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project correspondenceAssist in preparing subcontractor and vendor agreementsCoordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendorsSupport field operations with documentation, coordination, and issue resolutionReview drawings, specifications, and other construction documentsHelp identify and resolve coordination issues as projects progressQualifications:No prior construction experience requiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferredStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple prioritiesFamiliarity with MS Project, Procore, or other construction software is a plus, but not requiredStrong willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibilityStarting salary range: $50,000–$60,000, with opportunities for advancement as responsibilities increase.This is a full-time, partially remote position.
