Distribution Electrical EngineerContract On-Site (Warren, Michigan OR Columbus/Patascala, Ohio)Estimated Pay Rate: $40/hr-$50/hrPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Distribution Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical distribution systems. This role supports distribution engineering projects across various sectors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience providing engineering solutions for overhead and underground distribution networks.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop engineering designs for overhead and underground distribution systems (4kV–35kV).Perform power system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and protection coordination.Prepare construction drawings, material lists, and cost estimates for distribution engineering projects.Support multi-stakeholder projects, coordinating with utilities, municipalities, and other stakeholders.Ensure all designs meet applicable industry standards, including NESC and IEEE.Integrate safety, reliability, and constructability considerations into every design.Collaborate with project managers, field crews, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.Coordinate with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies to support project execution.Utilize engineering software such as CYME or similar tools for modeling and design.Maintain accurate documentation and records for all projects.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringExperience:2+ years in electrical distribution design or utility engineeringExperience with overhead and underground distribution systemsSkills:Strong understanding of power systems, protective devices, and construction practicesExperience with power system modeling software such as CYME, ETAP, PSS®E, or similarCertifications:EIT or PE license preferred (or ability to obtain)ABOUT EIGHT ELEVEN:Eight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.Pay Disclaimer:The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
