Lab Technician

Pay Rate: BR / Bill Rate: BRTitle: Reagent TechnicianAbility to work as an independent contributor in a fast-paced production laboratory/formulation environment. Follow written procedures to formulate high frequency/large volume bulk reagents. Mobility for the entire shift and ability to perform frequent heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment is required. Ability to read, understand, document accurately, and communicate clearly in English is required. Organized and detail oriented. Perform cleaning, sanitization, assembly/disassembly of equipment. Understand and adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and Quality System Regulations (QSR's). Demonstrate proficiency to learn and perform simple to more complex basic math operations, understanding / application of decimal and scientific notation and basic chemistry concepts. Demonstrate proficiency in the set up and use of basic laboratory equipment (pH Meter, spectrophotometer, pipettes, volumetric glassware, analytical scales, etc Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency to perform simple to more complex bench-top and chemistry analyzer testing. Able to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard-toe shoes, laboratory coat, gloves, chemical resistant suits, air purifying respirator, dust mask for long periods of time. Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency using electric pallet jacks and drum lifting devices. AA Degree or higher. If educational background is lab-based science courses such as, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, 0-1 year of work experience will be considered. If educational background is not-science focused, 1 or more years of work experience performing lab and/or production formulation work similar to this position is required.
