ElectricianAll American Facility Maintenance - Sunrise, FL 33325OverviewSalary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 HourlyPosition Type: Full TimeDescriptionSummary/Objective: The Electrical Technician assumes a high level of responsibility early, supporting our field teams in their delivery of client services. Successful Electrical Technicians are fast learners and self-motivated, independent workers. They must have the ability to work under pressure and the willingness to work in varying conditions.Key Responsibilities:Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, and to ensure compliance with codes.Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.Assists department in various tasks and or assignmentsOther Requirements:Valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be able to pass drug test(s) as required by companyLift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.Ability to observe all company procedures and safety rulesWork as part of our team to ensure customer satisfactionQualificationsQualifications:Must have your own tools and be a self-starter and be able to work on your ownNeed a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordMust be on punctual and reliableMinimum of 5 years' experienceDemonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprintsThorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelinesExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilityAdditional Skills Desired:Journeyman license preferred but not required.Successful completion of a trade/vocational school is preferred but not required.
