Registered Nurse
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various cardiac conditions and illnesses. Essential Functions of the Role:Observe and record patient behaviors; Collect patient health historyPerform physical examinations and diagnostic tests, such as EKGs or apply and download Holter monitorsCounsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plansAdminister medication, change wound dressings, and care for other treatment optionsRead and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriateConsult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patientsResearch ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomesSupport emergency response as neededCompletes records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results in the appropriate EMR or record, also accesses and obtains records from various hospital EMRMaintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential and in compliance with HIPAA.Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, if applicable.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Actively works towards positive interdepartmental care coordination to create the most effective patient experience possible.RNs placed in cardiac diagnostics will supervise stress testingMinimum Qualifications:2 years working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical practice environmentProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to travel to local officesDesired Qualifications3+ years in a clinical practice environmentDirect experience in Cardiac or Vascular HealthcareExperience with EMRPhysical RequirementsThis position requires full range of body motion.
