Due to our growth, we are seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented individual as a Full Stack Developer in the Charlotte, NC area. You will be working in a small team at our creative Charlotte office location, as well as participating in weekend call support rotation as required. You will provide Tech-Support for tickets concerning your area of expertise to customers both over phone, chat and ticket system together with our tech support team. This full-time position combines the best of both worlds: direct interaction with customers providing tech-support, as well as developing new web applications and administrating the server system. When we’re not working, we enjoy barbecue together, lots of coffee and austrian chocolate. : ) Responsibilities Bringing deep knowledge and technical expertise in all aspects of solution design and application development for specific business environments Focus on setting technical direction for applications and similar technologies as well as taking responsibility for technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints Development of PHP/mysql code for back end and front end applications (e.g. Lightcast client accounts, company CRM, etc.) Perform UI tests to optimize performance Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic Build reusable code and libraries for future use Responsible for end to end project implementation and ensuring the stability of the platform Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization Provide training and support to internal teams Server administration and troubleshooting Technical support via email, ticket system, messenger or phone for clients and coworkers also on weekends (rotation). Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in php/mysql development, html/css, javascript/ajax Experience with frameworks like cakephp Expertise in object oriented programming Knowledge in linux server administration Experience in network administration Experience with Database Cluster Setups, Load Balancers and Fail Safe Storage Solutions Experience in technical customer support is beneficial Experience working directly with clients in a highly professional manner Excellent oral and written communication skills Additional knowledge which will give you an advantage Preferably experience in the field of video streaming like Wowza Media Server Due to the anticipated volume of responses, we will contact only those candidates who most closely match our requirements.
