Come work for North America Central where your skills are valued, and your contribution appreciated.Job PurposeAssist the driver in the safe operation of the assigned route and support student management as defined by the school.Key ResponsibilitiesLearn and follow assigned routes using route sheets or electronic routing devicesManage student behavior and communicate any concerns or incidents to the driverAssist with pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections, including child checks, CSRS, and wheelchair liftsSupport students during loading and unloading, including operation of wheelchair liftsMaintain positive communication with school personnel, parents, and studentsAttend all required safety meetings and training sessionsAssist with emergency evacuations, including use of emergency exitsClean the interior of the bus, including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning windowsPerform additional duties or specialized functions as required by contractMinimum Education & CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredRequirements & ExpectationsStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to work early morning hoursMaintain a professional, respectful attitude toward coworkers, students, parents, and customersDress in a professional and appropriate manner for a business environmentPerform all job duties safely, adhering to OSHA guidelines and applicable federal and state lawsFollow all company policies and proceduresAbility to use, or willingness to learn, internet-based systems, required software programs, and office equipment (e.g., phones, fax machines, and other electronic devices)Why Join Us?Make a meaningful impact supporting students and your local communityReceive training and ongoing supportWork in a safety-focused, team-oriented environmentNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
