The Plant Operations Director is responsible for ensuring the retirement community is safe and well-maintained for the residents, employees, visitors and the public. Plant Operations Director is responsible for all areas of building maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, environmental services. This role is additionally responsible for local, state and federal code compliance as well as life-safety requirements.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, repair and service all facility equipment and furnishings as requiredFollows safety policies and infection control guidelines, assuring resident safety and compliance with all federal and state regulationsFollows and understands the Company’s Emergency Preparedness plansObserves residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guestsAssist with transportation of residents as requestedProvide training to all staff in areas of Life Safety, Emergency Preparedness, OSHA, etc.Maintains cost records and meets budgeted guidelinesManage, train and schedule Plant Operations teamDirect vendors and regulatory inspectors to meet code requirementsDevelop and lead campus safety committeePosition requires 24/7 on-call status
