Chief Dialogue Officer

This position provides executive-level leadership and strategic direction for Maricopa's civic engagement and civil dialogue efforts, ensuring coordinated, systemwide implementation and long-term sustainability of this work. As Maricopa expands its role as a civic partner, this role is responsible for aligning initiatives across colleges and communities, establishing a cohesive vision, and advancing strategies that elevate the system's civic impact and visibility. Serving as a primary external representative, this position cultivates and sustains high-level partnerships with civic, nonprofit, governmental, and business leaders at the local, regional, and statewide levels. The role advances Maricopa's presence in key civic and community forums, positioning the institution as a trusted convener and leader on issues of public importance. Through strategic leadership, partnership development, and external engagement, this role strengthens Maricopa's statewide presence and advances its commitment to fostering informed dialogue, civic participation, and community impact. Additional Information The position will often work on evenings and weekends, leading a variety of civic engagement/civil dialogue events Essential Functions 50% - The Chief Civil Dialogue Officer (CDO) is responsible for the overall development and administration of all functions of statewide community engagement and civil dialogue programming, in collaboration with Arizona Town Hall. This includes annual programming, developing short-term and long-term financial forecasts including new and innovative revenue streams. The CDO plans, schedules, and assures delivery of events in communities throughout the state and is responsible for the quality of each session. 40% - Cultivates relationships with business, industry, municipal, and community leaders to maximize partnerships; serves as a member of the organization's committees; and is responsible for all administrative details associated with the performance of standing committees. 10% - Inspires a diverse group of employees and volunteers through mentoring, professional development, and coaching; provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the organization and related committees, as well as other duties as assigned
