Senior Equipment Technician
Sr. Equipment Maintenance TechnicianSchedule: Compressed work week (Sun–Tue + every other Wed, 5:30 AM–6:00 PM)Pay: $35–$50/hr (based on experience)Summary:Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing wafer fabrication and facility equipment. Supports production by performing diagnostics, rebuilding equipment, and recommending maintenance strategies and process improvements. Works independently on complex issues and may lead or train other technicians.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wafer fab equipment with minimal supervisionPerform diagnostics using test equipmentRebuild and modify equipment to improve performanceDevelop and recommend preventive maintenance (PM) proceduresAnalyze process data and suggest operational improvementsTrain peers and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standardsCoordinate with engineers and external contractorsMay lead or supervise technicians on projectsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma (or equivalent) + 6+ years of relevant experienceExperience with vacuum systems, lithography tools, wet benches, or measurement equipmentStrong troubleshooting and repair skills in manufacturing equipmentBasic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skillsSelf-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independentlyAbility to follow technical instructions and learn quicklyKnowledge of WIP management principlesAbility to work with hazardous materials (training provided)Preferred:Associate’s degree or higherKnowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)Prior leadership or supervisory experienceWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Cleanroom environment with required protective gearFrequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs)Exposure to noise, electrical systems, gases, and hazardous chemicals
