As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firmâs business objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityHands-on experience coding with JavaScript and utilizing front-end UI frameworks, such as React or AngularProficiency building ASP.NET MVC, Web API, or REST style applicationsHands-on experience coding in the C-sharp (C#) language utilizing either the .NET Core or .NET frameworksProficiency in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesExperience with and understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityExperience in SQL scripting, or T-SQL in SQL Server 2019 or higherProficiency with development toolsets (e.g. Git, Visual Studio 2019/2022, VS Code)Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsBachelors Degree in Computer Science or similarKnowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemsHands-on experience with cloud-native development using cloud providers such as AWS and Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools (e.g. Github CoPilot or similar)ABOUT USJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the worldâs most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
