Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and Make a Difference in Patient Care We are seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional patient care within a dynamic outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities: Manage an average of 15 hematology patients daily in an outpatient clinic.Follow up with existing patients and evaluate new cases, writing orders and prescriptions.Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff to coordinate care.Focus predominantly on benign hematology, with a flexible approach to general oncology duties.Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers and support staff in a well-equipped setting.Utilize EPIC EMR system, with prior assessment required before start date.Provide care in accordance with established clinical guidelines and best practices.Required Skills: Board certification in Hematology and/or Oncology. Single board certification acceptable; double boarded preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in hematology/oncology.Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.Ability to work confidently in a general oncology environment focusing on benign hematology.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Valid state medical license in North Carolina.DEA certification.BLS certification.Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in a hospital inpatient setting.Additional certification or training in infusion therapy.Familiarity with caring for a diverse patient population.Ability to adapt to a multidisciplinary team environment.Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.At least 2-3 years of post-residency clinical practice in hematology or oncology.Current North Carolina medical license and DEA registration.Other Requirements: Must be comfortable working in an outpatient clinic setting.Be available for shift hours from 07:00 to 16:00, four days a week.Willingness to travel for assignments, with expenses covered (flight, rental car, lodging).Ability to respond to shifts with overtime pay at 1.5x rate after scheduled hours.Holiday work at 1.5x pay, including major holidays.Credentialing timeline estimated at 60-90 days.This opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $507.00, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team dedicated to your success.
