Experiential Events Intern - Fall 2026
September 2026 - February 2027Traditional schedule will be Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm, with the exception of some evenings, weekends, and holidays required for onsite and offsite events.PURPOSE:The Experiential Events Intern will support the Experiential Events team in planning and executing a variety of events and activations at Mall of America, including large-scale experiential and community-focused experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning and a strong desire to learn. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in the events industry.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:Assist the Experiential Events team with the planning and execution of large-scale events, including celebrity appearances, sponsorship activations, performances, and other events as assigned.Assist with coordination, planning, and execution of Toddler Tuesdays LIVE program, including booking entertainment, event logistics, and execution.Assist in planning phases of Mall of America + Nickelodeon Universe seasonal + annual events (Love Chute, Fog Chute, Booniverse, Black Friday, Swing Dance Nights, Wrestling, Festival of Trees, etc.).Assist in managing non-profit partnership events, activations, and programs through corporate social responsibility efforts.Research potential event partners and sponsors for annual spectacular events.Provide creative ideas to make Mall of America events unique and attractive to draw new customers.Assist with organization of Experiential Events videos, photo archives, event equipment, and supplies.Fulfill requests for event information and event proposals received via email and voice mail.Opportunity to take ownership of and independently execute select events.Support various Marketing initiatives guided through other departments with everyday tasks.Ability to perform physical tasks such as pulling pallets, walking extensively, moving boxes, etc.Performing other duties as assignedPREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:Recent graduate or currently pursuing degree in Marketing, Advertising, Hospitality, Public Relations, Communication or Nonprofit Management.Experience + passion for event planning + philanthropic efforts.
