Data Modeller / Migration LeadJob Title: Data Modeller / Migration LeadLocation: SFO, CAcontractJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced PDV Data Modeller / LSC Migration Lead to lead data modeling, mapping, transformation, and migration initiatives within enterprise data environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data modeling, data migration, data architecture, and data integration, with the ability to translate business and source-system requirements into scalable target data models.The role will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, engineering teams, and application teams to support LSC/PDV data migration, ensure data quality and integrity, and drive successful migration from legacy platforms to target-state environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for PDV/LSC data domains.Analyze legacy/source data structures and define target data models, mappings, and transformation rules.Lead end-to-end data migration activities, including data discovery, profiling, mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and cutover.Collaborate with business stakeholders, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and application teams to understand data requirements and define migration solutions.Develop and maintain detailed source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, business rules, and technical documentation.Identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and dependencies and work with relevant teams to resolve them.Establish data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of migrated data.Provide technical leadership during migration planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-migration support.Support integration of data across enterprise applications and platforms while ensuring alignment with data architecture and governance standards.Identify migration risks, dependencies, and technical challenges and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track migration milestones, deliverables, and issues.Mentor team members and establish best practices for data modeling, migration, documentation, and data quality.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, data migration, or data engineering.Experience with life sciences data and related enterprise applications is a plus.Experience with PDV/LSC data environments or similar enterprise data platforms.Strong hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.Experience working on large-scale enterprise data migration/transformation initiatives.Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and/or cloud data platforms.Experience developing source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, data dictionaries, and migration specifications.Strong understanding of data quality, data profiling, reconciliation, and validation processes.Experience working with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, data engineers, and application teams.Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or similar platforms.Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and master/reference data concepts.Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or similar tools.Experience leading offshore/onshore technical teams and managing migration deliverables.
