This position offers the opportunity to work on complex disputes for a diverse client base that includes businesses, corporations, and individuals. The role is well suited for an attorney who wants to strengthen courtroom readiness, expand hands-on litigation experience, and contribute in a fast-moving practice environment. Candidates should bring strong legal writing ability, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to managing case responsibilities.Responsibilities:• Support all phases of litigation by helping develop case strategy, organizing evidence, and preparing matters for trial.• Conduct legal and factual research involving case law, individuals, companies, and job sites to strengthen defense positions.• Prepare motions, briefs, internal memoranda, and client-facing case updates with clarity and accuracy.• Participate in depositions, court appearances, hearings, and mediations as part of active case management.• Review records and discovery materials to identify key facts, risks, and opportunities within each matter.• Interview clients and assist in preparing witnesses so they are ready for testimony and other proceedings.• Manage multiple assignments at once while maintaining attention to deadlines, detail, and overall case progress.• Active attorney license in good standing, with admission in New York required and additional bar admission viewed favorably.• At least 1 year of litigation experience, with 3-4 years especially valuable for this opportunity.• Background in asbestos, toxic tort, or product liability defense is strongly preferred.• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents effectively.• Strong academic performance along with excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work independently, stay organized under pressure, and balance competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting.• A writing sample must be submitted as part of the application process.• Client-centered mindset with initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to take on new challenges.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
