Caregiver: Epilepsy,ASD/ADHD/IDD (Teen 16.5 yrs)

Overview: Seeking an Experienced Caregiver for teen (16.5yrs) with Epilepsy & ASD/ADHD/IDD Must be have unrestricted authorization to work in the US. W2 income position using a payroll company which requires a live scan & onboarding paperwork to start position. Rate: $20 per hour + mileage (if driving client in caregivers vehicle) Location: Trinidad, CA Estimated Hours: 3 days a week 2-3 hrs/day, spread out through the week (non-consecutive) Hours on weekdays 4-7pm (must start after 4pm), Sat can start as early as 2pm Location notes - parking can be difficult after 5pm on weekdays Start Date: ASAP! Job Description & Duties include: Seeking a compassionate & experienced caregiver for teen (16.5 yrs) with Epilepsy & ASD/ADHD/IDD to assist with daily living in home and out in the community. Must have valid DL & reliable insured vehicle to transport client to and from outings in the future. Maintain schedule as set ahead of time, clear communication with family on schedule or changes in schedule. Main locations at two different residences within the city. Non-smoker please. First Aid/CPR Certified. Duties: - Prompting throughout showering, assistance as needed. (Family can give more details on direction) - Washing clients sheets and clothes, cleaning bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, floors) - Assembly of incontinence briefs - Vacuuming of client’s room as needed - Safety monitoring - Seizure precautions - Pass the magnet to trigger VNS device in the event of seizure - Possible meal prep - Accompany client on walks outside of home - Possible transportation to/from activities & outings nearby - Assist with physical therapy exercises - Prompting client to participate in exercise activities, possibly lead by example - Possible monitoring of activities to ensure safety while family is out of the home Job Type: Part-time Benefits: Mileage reimbursement References: 2 Pay: $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 – 10.0 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
