Principal Application Engineer – AI for EDA

About the RoleWe are seeking a technically rigorous Principal Application Engineer to drive the adoption of our AI-driven EDA solutions. This role requires deep expertise in both AI algorithms and semiconductor design workflows. You will serve as the technical authority, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world engineering challenges in chip design.Key Responsibilities1. System Demonstration: Conduct technical demonstrations of our AI platform, detailing the underlying technical architecture, algorithmic innovations, and computational efficiency to prospective clients.2. Technical Requirements Analysis: Engage in deep technical discussions with chip design houses, IDMs, and Fabless companies to diagnose design bottlenecks and translate complex engineering requirements into technical specifications for R&D.3. Expert Technical Support: Resolve advanced technical inquiries regarding Agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen), inference engines, tool integration APIs, data security protocols, and system performance metrics.4. Technical Evangelism: Represent the company at industry conferences, technical seminars, and customer roadshows to establish thought leadership in AI for EDA and IC design automation.5. Product Innovation: Collaborate with internal R&D teams to refine product roadmaps, validate new features, and ensure the technical robustness and industry relevance of our solutions.Qualifications1. AI/ML Proficiency: Solid understanding of LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Reinforcement Learning, and AI-based code generation techniques.2. Hands-on Agent Experience: Practical experience with Agent development frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI). Proven experience in deploying end-to-end Agent systems is highly preferred.3. EDA/IC Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the IC design flow (RTL, Synthesis, Place-and-Route, Verification). Experience with commercial EDA tools is a strong plus.4. Technical Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate complex algorithmic concepts and system architectures to both technical experts and executive stakeholders.5. Customer-Centric Engineering: Strong diagnostic skills to identify root causes of customer issues and propose effective technical solutions.6. Research Orientation: Active interest in tracking state-of-the-art advancements in AI for Science and Engineering.7. Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI, or related fields.Locations1. Shanghai2.
