As a safety intern you will learn about construction activities, scheduling, risk assessments, planning, and implementing corrective measures as necessary. Assists in reporting incidents/accidents, investigations, root cause analysis and submitting reports as required.Minimum QualificationsRequired Education: Currently enrolled in Safety, occupational health, or related major at an accredited institution.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesStrong computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)Strong planning and multitasking skillsOutstanding organizational skills, flexibility and professionalismStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be results oriented, high initiative, ability to influence others and work in a team environmentEssential FunctionsThe Safety Intern assists with implementing site-specific safety programs, monitoring work for regulatory compliance, conducting safety inspections, and participating in safety training and recordkeeping. Key responsibilities include investigating incidents and performing audits to ensure a safe working environment. Conducting research, gathering data, and performing analysis.Physical DemandsAbility to stand for extended periods, up to 60 minutes. Ability to sit for prolonged durations Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Ability to handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
