Prepress Technician
Visual Communications Designer Formulates concepts and executes layout designs for artwork and copy to be presented by visual communications media such as magazines, books, newspapers, pamphlets, brochures, television, posters, and packaging by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works directly with clients/sales through all design phases from concept development through desktop publishingLays out and produces all types of printable assignments by desktop publishing with the best creative solutionKeys in hard copy and formats and proofs the copy for publication formattingScans B/W and 4/C photos for high resolution outputMakes Iris or Kodak Approval proofs for proofing and press of such photosWorks with Mac operators for ripping and trappingAll other duties as assignedRequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
