SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYST ELECTRONIC WARFARE

VSolvit is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with an understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and RF simulation modeling to join our team in the Laboratories at Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu in Southern California.The successful candidate will work in this beautiful coastal location between Malibu and Santa Barbara at the Naval Base Ventura County, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, and on one of many projects across multiple areas: Electronic Warfare, Airborne Electronic Attack, or Multi-Spectral Defense. This position is 100% on-site at NAS Point Mugu, CA ***As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing tasks as assigned.General Responsibilities May Include:Provide technical direction for performing software development tasks, and the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to ensure problem solution and user standards.Make recommendations for approval of major system installations. Prepare milestone status reports and deliverables/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives as required.Provides project management and project support in the form of technical writing, configuration management, quality assurance, technical training, data architecture and support.Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.Test system modifications to prepare for implementationDocument software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers.Create and maintain databases of known defects.May participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.Coordinate user or third-party testing.Conduct historical analyses of test results.Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.Coordinate closely with System Engineers to ensure proper implementation of Program and SW specifications.Basic Qualifications:BS degree (Or Associates with relevant experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.Ten (10) years of experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design,technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking.Secret clearance.Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, oftenunder strict deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.Familiarity with US Military Air platforms and/or their EW flight test support systems andinfrastructures.Experience with cloud-based development and deployment infrastructure (Git, AWS Services),React, JavaScript, Python or an equivalent Object-Oriented Language like C++.Top Secret clearance.Experience with Agile / SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) DevSecOps (Development, Security, andOperations), MBSE (model Based Systems Engineering) methodologies.Company Summary:Join the VSolvit Team!
