With eight locations across Pennsylvania and Maryland, we've been proudly serving local communities since 1936. Our mission is to support students, families, and educators by providing trusted guidance, quality instruments, and meaningful resources that strengthen school music programs and the broader musical community.We are currently hiring a part-time Retail Associate for our Hanover, PA location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys music, values learning, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience. You'll play a key role in helping customers find the right instruments, accessories, and services while building lasting relationships both in-store and through phone and email communication.Please note: This is a year-round position and not seasonal.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist customers with selecting and purchasing instruments, accessories, and sheet musicProcess band and orchestra rental agreements, helping make music accessible to students of all backgroundsRegister students for lessons and provide information about The Menchey School of MusicDevelop knowledge of product lines, brands, and services offeredParticipate in training on instrument basics, sales techniques, and new productsAddress customer questions and concerns, seeking support when neededMaintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail environmentFollow opening and closing proceduresHandle transactions accurately, including balancing a cash drawerCompensation & BenefitsThis position offers a competitive hourly wage along with a strong commission opportunity.
