Position OverviewOur client, a well-established plaintiff personal injury law firm in Clifton, NJ, is seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join their growing litigation team. This role is ideal for a confident and strategic attorney with a strong background handling plaintiff-side personal injury matters from intake through verdict.The ideal candidate will have extensive courtroom experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while delivering exceptional client advocacy.Key ResponsibilitiesManage plaintiff personal injury cases from pre-litigation through trialConduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearancesDraft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery responsesEvaluate liability, damages, and case strategyNegotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counselPrepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and trial exhibitsCollaborate with legal staff and junior attorneys on case developmentMaintain strong communication with clients throughout the litigation processQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in New Jersey5+ years of litigation and trial experienceStrong preference for candidates with plaintiff personal injury experienceProven courtroom and first-chair trial experience preferredExcellent negotiation, analytical, and advocacy skillsAbility to manage cases independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and client relationship skillsPreferred ExperienceMotor vehicle accidentsPremises liabilityCatastrophic injury casesWrongful death litigationInsurance negotiations and settlement strategyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary plus bonus potentialHealth benefitsPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environment
