Configuration Manager
Description:
Command Post Technologies, Inc is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager with a robust background in configuration management processes, specifically within the Department of Defense and United States Marine Corps environments in Dahlgren, VA. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in configuration management, coupled with a deep understanding of the DoD/USMC procedures and requirements, ensuring excellence in managing and maintaining complex systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes and procedures.
Ensure all configuration management activities are conducted in accordance with DoD/USMC standards and requirements.
Maintain configuration management databases and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with various departments to manage configuration changes, ensuring all modifications are properly documented and communicated.
Perform audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established configuration management policies and standards.
Provide training and support to staff on configuration management procedures and best practices.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure configuration management activities align with project goals and timelines.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management.
Strong Attention to Detail
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Sharepoint, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, ITIL) is a plus.
Experience with DoD (Department of Defense) configuration management standards and protocols.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
